In reply to: Permanent delete prompt gone, now can’t delete mediaHi, mine appeared to fix itself or at least i did something unbeknowingly that caused it to prompt again and allow deletes.
I needed to do a bulk delete of media, what i recall doing was hitting the UPDATE CORE button (top of screen- looks like a recycle logo)
restarted wampserver – logged out and back in.
I didn’t add or turn off any plugins during this issue- imho not a plugin issue.
im on win 10pro , site is on D drive/localhost, was soely using Firefox
good luck- This reply was modified 2 years, 5 months ago by tom182.

I am awaiting on support to revert, one thing i did prior to this issue was to run searchandreplace.php where i changed the company name from “Company ABC Group” to “Company ABC”
Basically client wants same site as their original for a off-shoot business. thinking it might have been that I reversed the changes back to the original and still the issue happens, However i did activate twentyfifteen and modified the header image (via the field) and it worked fine, so yes I am thinking it is a Theme issue, have used theme on their original site and never had an issue with it.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: string of XXXXX's appearing on sitei was going to run a searchandreplace.php but notied when I entered the dir it was it it too had the xxxxx and this is not a WP page,
Deleted that folder, created a temp one on root and it also has the x’s so it must be a server issue???

In reply to: added a blog, sitemap and indexingplease ignore above,
have found answers in this ForumForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: added a blog, sitemap and indexingOk this is where I am confused.com
Note http://www.mysite.com is html/css site,
http://www.mysite.com/blog is where WordPress is installed
If I Create an xml Sitemap using one of the online generators and enter http://www.mysite.com as the starting url, it creates an xml but there is no reference to the WP blog sub-directory, i.e. looks like the WP blog is totally ignored. This is in effect what my current Sitemap (pre-WP Blog). So following that,
I have installed Sitemap plugin for WP and have generated one, I can view the xml at http://www.mysite.com/blog/sitemap.xml no problem. So now I have 2 Sitemaps, one in root and other in /blog directory
Should I combine into one sitemap and submit that to Google via webmasters tools (webmaster used very loosely there 😉
or should i submit 2 of them to Google, one for root and other for WP blog.
Thanksok, this is all new to me, do i write these rules in the htaccess file or would you advise to use a wp plugin (if opne exists)?
thanksTried that but no luck 🙁
