Sorry, I did not understand how to put code into this post, I’ll try again

This is the code that shows for one of the photos –
But the page apparently no longer exists. And this seems to be a universal change to ALL of my blog postings. Why would this happen? I made no changes to anything in any of my posts, and certainly made no universal changes; at least not that I am aware of.
Is this a function of the latest WP update? I have not seen anyone else comment on this kind of thing happening to their sites, but maybe I’m not looking in the right place in the Forum.
Thanks Lisa, I did all that you suggested and my media gallery is now working again.
However, the photos on my “old” posts (built more than a few days ago) are still seriously messed up. When I look at these posts in either the new Editor or the Classic Editor none of the photos in the post show up in Visual mode. The photos are there, and show in code/text mode or if I preview the post, but in visual mode the only evidence I have that the photos are there is text used in the image alt. If I did not put anything into the image alt the area where the photo should be is completely blank.
And there is something else that has happened to all of the photos in my old posts that is even stranger. Prior to a few days ago, if I clicked on any of the photos in my online blog (not in the Editor), the photo would show up at full size on a linked page. Now if I click on a photo I get a new page with the following message –
Sorry, this page doesn’t exist.
Please check the URL or go back a page.
404 Error. Page Not Found. You can see this for yourself if you go to the blog and try to look at an individual photo.
Looking at the code for some of the old posts I found that the SIZE of the photos has been changed. I have always set the image size to 1000x667px, but I have found places where the size had been set to 10x10px. I have not looked at this extensively but did find it on several pages. Not every image in a post, just a few.
Any ideas of what might be happening here? If I don’t have to make any adjustments/updates to an old post the size change hopefully won’t affect me, but I am concerned that like the photo links just disappearing something else could happen to damage my existing posts.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: No longer able to add images/media to my postsI have now tried disabling all plugins (no effect) and changing my theme to Twenty Twelve (also no effect). I am still unable to add any photos to my blog, with the exception of the “featured image”. Tab for visual non-functioning.
I read the thread listed by WPyogi, and I’m afraid I understood very little of it. It sounds like there is a way to manually download/update another copy of WordPress, and that that might be a solution. But I have no idea how to do this, and when I visit the WordPress site I could not find any way to download another copy. For obvious reasons I don’t want to do something that will mean I lose all of my previous blog postings, but I am willing to try just about anything that has a reasonable chance of making my page usable again.
Help!!!
