In my case, I wanted to override the setting to center the slider. In most places, centering is desirable, but I had one spot where I needed it left-justified. I figured out another way to accomplish what i was looking for, so no big deal for me. Seems like it would come in handy though.

Found it. I added the following to the stylesheet under “Calendar options.”

.widget_calendar_upcoming {
        color:#ffffff;
    }
