Hi — did you all figure out the problem with the hamburger menu in mobile dimensions? I’m having the same problem here (using Neve and a child theme, haven’t changed anything about the menu).

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you! That looks very promising — I’ll go read it more carefully and give it a try. Thanks so much for the quick and useful response!

(forgot to mark the thread “resolved.”)

    Hi again, Simon —

Thanks for your help — I’m up and running. I’m using a front-page.php that doesn’t pull in header.php, so that was my problem. I should have thought of that sooner. At any rate, thanks for the quick response and the great plugin.

    Have a good day!

redstar90 — thanks for the very fast response! I’ll go fiddle with it and get it to work.

Hi — thanks for following up. For now, I’m just overriding the “visibility:hidden” CSS in the tag with “visibility:visible !important” in my CSS. Not my favorite thing to do, but it’s working for now. I need to go back through my theme and see if I added something a couple of years ago that I don’t remember, but I haven’t had time to do that.

If I figure it out, though, I’ll gladly add it to this thread.

Thanks again for checking in — you guys have a great plugin (and clearly great support, too)!

Thanks, guys — it doesn’t happen with Twenty Fifteen, so clearly it’s something about my parent (Point) or child theme. Thanks — I’ll have to figure this out on my own. Meantime, though, thanks for the responses and advice!

That’s odd — the plugin is definitely activated. I just updated everything and deleted all non-essential plugins, and it’s still broken.

I’m a little embarrassed about this list, but these are the plugins we’re currently using on the site:

    Activity Log
    Add Posts to Pages
    Akismet
    Awesome Surveys
    BackUpWordPress
Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order
    Change Memory Limit
    Contact Form 7
    Custom Meta Widget
    Default featured image
    Duplicate Post
    Easy Columns
    Expire Users
    EZ Emails
    Inline Google Spreadsheet Viewer
    Insert Headers and Footers
    Meta Slider
    Obfuscate E-mail
    Page Builder by SiteOrigin
    Password Protected
    Peter’s Login Redirect
    Post Expirator
    Posts in Page
    Really Simple CAPTCHA
    Replace Howdy with Welcome
    ShareThis
    Simple Calendar
    Simple Image Sizes
    TablePress
    TablePress Extension: Automatic URL conversion
    The Events Calendar
    TinyMCE Color Picker
    Uber Login Logo
    Ultimate Under Construction page
    WordPress Importer
    WP-Members
    WP-Polls

So maybe I need to pare that down, but I wonder if there’s one that’s causing a particular conflict that you might recognize. Your plugin is almost certainly more important to our site than whatever is bumping heads with it, so if you have any insight, I’d be glad to know about it.

Thanks for your response — hope to get this rolling again with your very useful plugin.

Ah, you see, the problem was rooted in the fact that I’m an idiot. Turns out, I had both Posts in Page and Add Posts to Page installed at various times, and it’s actually Add Posts to Page that broke with the upgrade. So I’m a dope — sorry to bug you.

Thanks for the very quick response, though — is there any possibility that Posts in Page will have a feature to display the entire post anytime soon? I use the other plugin as kind of an enhanced category view (so I can do some other things with URLs and so on) and I’d love to do that with your fine, very functional plugin. 🙂

And I hate to have created a topic that will scare people — is it possible to remove a thread from the forums?

Thanks again — have a great day.

FYI, here’s the address of an affected page:

    http://nsago.org/news-and-views/the-deans-column/

(That’s a dev site and has automatically updated to 4.4.2, but the update to 4.4 is, I think, when it broke.)

Thanks for any help you can send my way.

BREAKTHROUGH! I have it narrowed down to a conflict with the Custom Post plugin (used to insert Content Blocks into widget areas). So it’s not the Responsive theme at all, it’s the Custom Post plugin.

So the problem isn’t resolved (I guess I need to find an alternative to Custom Post next to see if that fixes it), but I’m getting somewhere. Just posting this here so others can find it.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I guess my question is about why it borked so badly when I upgraded the theme — did Responsive really change the values for h1-h5 in an update?

Anyhow, thanks again — I’ll go code in sizes for all my headers and colophon text and so on and see what happens. Have a great day!
