  • I’ve also got the same issue. I can’t make head or tail of the stylesheet either and I’ve been coding CSS for the past 10 years.
The logo only appears correctly on index page and then seems to half sit behind a div tag boarder thought the rest of the site.

There are other issues too that optimise well with the Mobile api but not the desktop view. My comments area stretches full width of the page. I expect that this is a design feature because originally the text copy hugged the left side of the browser, so I added a left side pages widget, but now the widget shows first on the mobile view. The text aligns nicely in the middle, but the comments area looks messy. Strangely, on the actual comments page, the comments area falls correctly aligned.

Ideally, if the widgets could have a hide option for the mobile view and comments could align with the body text, it would be a winner… Oh not forgetting the logo fix. It really needs sorting as it’s the first thing users see when they look through the pages.

It’s a shame because it’s a fantastic looking theme. It’s just these relatively minor issues that let it down. Unfortunately I can’t risk purchasing the full theme until these items are fixed or a solution is given.

Ah, I see what you’ve done now.. You’ve gone straight to the comments listing rather than a listed menu item page. My Apologist…. See this page. Scroll to the comments and all will be revealed.

Thanks for the response. It’s not the answer I’m looking for. I’m well aware of the resize element at the bottom corner of the text box.

The issue with the comments isn’t just the box, its the whole “Comments” div area. Its completely out of sync with the rest of the page. I need the code and location to place it for it to be in-line with the rest of the page.

Please don’t post if its not a coding answer. Answers like these, although helpful to a small number of people, aren’t helpful to those who are looking through many help files to rectify code. They make the search more complex, hence multi posts of the same issues.

    But thanks for trying…

Browsers I’m user: Firefox, Chrome, Safari on MacBook and Edge, IE11 on PC.
Android and iOS look with a few other issues but that’s down to the theme developer.

So if there’s any more advice out there. It’s the “comments” box that I want to “automatically” fall in line with the rest of the text copy on every page.
It appears to be a common issue on many different themes, so I don’t know why it hasn’t been fixed yet.

Hi Sami, Thanks for returning the detail. Sorry about the reference to blue. As a Man City fan, its the wrong blue for me… I take it back as it does actually look good on your design.

Re : The site hadn’t processed the code correctly.
I thinks its a Safari issue. I’ve had it before when processing websites on new Macs. If I’ve not configured it, it appears to cache the previous builds not processing updated code correctly so would load the blue rather than the yellow. Its working ok now though.

Thanks for the heads up with the detail about the img resolution. From 450px, I got to 1100px before I decided to ask.

I’ll need to ask the if the organisation can stretch to purchasing additional extras for their site. The org is run by volunteers and the majority of equipment is donated so it might just be a case of grin a bear it.

There is one additional item that you may be able to help with. As the org has international connection, there would be a requirement for small links at the top of the page. As I’m quite new to developing wordpress site (8hrs in fact), would it be possible to add a <php> include: locations.php </php?> to pages or does the wp not work in this manner? If not, is there a way to add this and a small logo icon next to the heading text using the wp-admin ?

Thanks for your help anyway. I have had a few attempts perviously with wp but wasn’t impressed. This time I’ve persevered and thanks to your theme and support, I’ve had an inspiring experience this time around.

In future I’ll use the link as you’ve mentioned.

    Thanks again

And if anyone knows about changing the colour of the sub menus that would help too…

I’ve found it! The site hadn’t processed the code correctly. After changing the colours in the css, I messed around with the layout options in the customised themes section and it suddenly turned yellow!

    Cool!

    Next issue…

What the best size and resolution to get a crisp png in the header section as I’m trying 72dpi – 900px width but it still looks very furry

    Any help would be amazing!
