My host is GoDaddy — they allow you to see your own details.
When I configured my WordPress install to point to the original database, I used the same exact process to find my credentials.
Also, given a separate application is able to connect to that database means the credentials are accurate.
Are there any other steps to take besides updating wp-config when trying to change the database your WordPress install points to?
