Hi bdbrown. Thank you so much for the quick answer. I guess I will go for the plugin option and have a look if I can find something suitable because the other option seems quite complicated. Anyway I redesigned my menus on the site a little bit and I am quite happy with it now, so I might not need the horizontal dropdown in the end. But I will have a look anyway.
