    Hi,

At the moment, there’s no way to automatically import your WordPress posts on TravelMap.

If this is a one-time thing, you can send me the link to your WordPress site, and I’ll see if I can pull the posts from your RSS feed.

Otherwise, you could Export your posts and send them to me via email.

I haven’t imported posts from WordPress yet so I can’t guarantee anything but I believe it’s technically possible.

    Best,

    Clement

Sorry, I thought this thread was posted on the TravelMap plugin support page (I got an email notification).

You can disregard my previous message (I can’t delete it).

The maps can not be generated nor inserted automatically into your WordPress pages.

If you create a free account on TravelMap, you’ll be able to create several maps.

Then you can manually embed each map on a WordPress page or post.
These are the shortcodes I used to embed my 2 different maps:

    [travelmap url="https://clem.travelmap.net/bike-expedition"]
    [travelmap url="https://clem.travelmap.net/bike-expedition-copenhagen-oslo"]

Once you have an account, you can replace the urls with your own map links.

    Best,
    Clement

    Hi,

No TravelMap can’t do all this. You can trace an itinerary, attach text and photos and share or embed it.

    Hi Miko,

I merged the content of bctincentive into bct2021.

Let me know if you have other issues.

    Hi Miko,

I see. From the moment you create a TravelMap account, you need to log into it at least once to see it appear on your WordPress administration.
And if you collaborate with other WordPress admins, they need to do the same if they want to update the maps.

The “TravelMap” page on your WordPress admin is just a glorified shortcut to our website.
Re-installing the plugin won’t change the default TravelMap user.
I’ll see if I can improve that system in a future update.

Meanwhile, you’ll have to share the TravelMap login details to the other admins.
I can merge your 2 TravelMap accounts into one if that’ll make it easier to manage. Let me know.

    Best,
    Clement

    Hi,

Did you create a TravelMap account? And you want to link it to your WordPress admin?

If you log in to that account, you should see it appear from your WordPress admin. If not, there’s a way to reset it but you’ll loose the map that is currently displayed on WordPress.

What’s your TravelMap username (or email address used to create the account)?
If you embedded your map, can you give me the link to the page that it is displayed on?

You can send me these information through our contact form: https://travelmap.net/contact

    Hi Stefan,

I already replied to you on TravelMap but for future reference for other users here’s the answer:

You need to add ?map-only=1 to the url to hide the dropdown list of the other maps.

So if you’re using the ‘TravelMap Blog’ widget, you need to enter a url like this:
    https://clem.travelmap.net?map-only=1
Or if you’re using a shortcode, it would be:
    [travelmap url="https://clem.travelmap.net?map-only=1"]
