1. Go to Plugins > Plugin Editor y select WordPress Popular Posts.
2. Click on src/Output.php to edit this file.
3. Replace the contents of this file with this version (https://pastebin.com/raw/t3Kr9G2F)
4. Click on Update File to save changes.

I tried the solution, but it could not solve the problem in my environment.
For now, I will use the previous version 5.3.3 and disable automatic updates.
I’ll try it as soon as the next update is available.
