Thanks for the reply,Tried that first, when I went to the permalinks page the custom was out so I reset it first Month and name it did not work, then I selected custom and entered: /%category%/%postname%/
Still did not work, the only way I can get to a page or post is if I enter the complete URL, even the links were voided out because the page that it goes to is not there according to the structure.
