Thank you again. I’m not sure if I will use this plugin because the recurring events are only available in the pro version, but I will give it a try.

I created an event category but can’t find it in the list of subscribe2. Is it necessary to customize the function.php like it is mentioned in the FAQ under “How can I make use of the support for Custom Taxonomies”? I’m not yet deep enough in this stuff to be sure and to know how to figure out the name.

I hope these are not to much rtfm questions 🙂

Thanks for the quick answer. So your opinion is not to wait or try out with this two plugins? Could you recommend an event plugin that works fine with subscribe2?

No idea what exactly was the reason but I found the solution in replacing a plugin and a theme that I might have manipulated in a bad way.
