Thanks. Those all help, but won’t changing the Theme Options > Home Slider Settings and Home Layout change my existing home page? My goal is to work on a new layout without damaging the current one.

How can you build a new home page without the virtue home layout options pointing to the new page? How do I add and control a home slider on a page that is not the home page?
