Just found the solution. This is worked for me.
Go to Edit mode of the form that is giving you problems.
Then go to General Settings
Towards the bottom (3rd option for me), UNCHECK Ajax Submissions.
Update Form.

I am getting the submission mail once I submit the form. I think this would mean that the Response is set up properly.
