Hmmm… no interruptions on my server…

Tried to update it again, and it seemed to work without throwing any error messages this time.

@david G, Are you ever gping to fix this bug? I reported the issue as well as the symptoms and steps to reproduce it over a month ago!

    Hi,

Nope, same issue with 7.5.0 and 7.3.0 still works fine (on the sites I haven’t upgraded too, and even on the site I downgraded back to 7.3.0 to temporarily fix the issue).

I’m not even going to try and raise the issue via your website, and neither should I have to.

I have already explained this issue (event/action not firing) causing the page with the Currency Switcher to not refresh (reload, as it should) and therefore not change the currency value and type selected. This, as constantly explained to you, works just fine on 7.3.0 on the same site…

Why should I (and other customers) be your QA department/staff?

    Kindly fix this issue…

Any news or update on this issue?

Further update: Just rolled back from 7.4.0 to 7.3.0 on the site that I had updated, and as expected everything is back working as expected. So, this, for me, confirms that you’ve broken some of the Currency Switcher (or related) code in 7.4.0!

    Hi,

I’m using Booster Plus 7.4.0 (updated from 7.3.0) and still using that version without issues on my otherv sites. This issue is ONLY with 7.4.0.

As mentioned before the page with the currency switcher on doesd not refresh (as is does with 7.3.0, on the same site) nor does it change the currency symbol or the converted amount as it did withy 7.3.0. To me it looks like their is an action/trigger that is not working in 7.4.0 with the Currency Switcher; this makes it useless!

Here’s the screen shot of the General Tab of the requested Booster Module: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WfUxNIpSnoVWELX8LFdU83tONrDYXGYg/view?usp=drive_link

You obviously didn’t read my previous replies, and I quote:

Already done that, multiple times (remove/delete the 4.84 version of the plugin and plugin folder) then install 4.85 from scratch; same issue!

Critical Issue, same error log data…

I then remove 4.85, and my site goes back to normal, I then re-install 4.84 and no issues.

So, as you can see I have already done that, and I am not wasting any further time/effort on this.

I have now removed (uninstalled) your very poorly coded plugin from all my sites.

    Hi,

    I will state again:

Nope. I am not playing that game. 4.84 works fine on the same sites, 4.85 throws an error about a missing file/folder which causes a Critical Error.

I have looked at the content of the 4.85 downloaded ZIP file (downloaded directly to my computer, not to my sites), there is NO such file in it; so my statement about the plugin package being incomplete stands. Fix the plugin ZIP file so that it contains the missing file/folder…

As another customer who reported the same error stated:
If you search your forum for “Product_Editor_Compatibility” it seems that this class missing is a common cause to kill your customer’s sites. Is there any way that the call to this can be trapped so that if not found it doesn’t take wordpress down with it?

Guess Square will lose my business now as I can’t trust your plugin as it is throwing errors and not handling this error gracefully, as it should be coded to do so, and NOT crash the site!

Maybe I should let Square know that you are costing them customers and revenue? Shame there is not a valid alternative to your plugin, oh well…

Suggest that unless you want to keep having the same issue reported (and crashing wordpress/woocommerce) that you fix the issue, or as suggested put a trap in for the call if it fails, so that it either fixes the missing file or doesn’t cause the plugin to crash the system…

It is clear that there is a serious issue with your plugin package. I am now starting to move away from using your Square plugin as it has always been very poor!

Here you go, seems that the file Product_Editor_Compatibility is missing from the package (and the root cause of the Critical Error)…

    Hi Peter,

Yes I am aware of that option, but it doesn’t do what I need, it only blocks matching URLs without the domain name that the hacker tries to access, e.g.

You would currently block /test.php or */test.* but not
https://fake.siteurl.com/test.php (such as a staging or development full URL which should not be used to access the real site). The full URL is being captured in Wordfence live traffic logs, so it should be easy to add this functionality to the existing UI?

    Hope this makes sense?

    Regards,
    Martin

Thank you for the clarification, it might be an idea to add this information to the FAQ and product description…
