  • upgraded theme to BusinessPro 3.1.18 and Add Media now works fine.

    CyberChimps site says that their old framework does not work with WP 3.5… new one does

    thanks

    same issue… Add Media does not work…

    does not work in Firefox of IE

    works in Twenty Twelve theme…not in Business Pro… Dashboard/Updates says Business Pro is current at 3.1.8 however at CyberChimps the current version is six months newer 3.1.18

    added this code to .htaccess … did not solve issue

    <IfModule pagespeed_module>
    ModPagespeed off
    </IfModule>

    I did not get a reply from WP re the images, just the memory issue which has been resolved.

    Re images, I finally started naming all new images with the current date then sort the list by page and compare the names in the list with the names actually on the page (using mouse-over). This works fine for most of my pages with limited images however on 2 pages I have so many images that it is not worth the effort.

    In my opinion WordPress should have an option in the page editor to allow you to permanently delete an image there when you delete it from the page. Makes sense? That would solve the problem and make it much easier for users.

    Also, the media list should not just show ‘attached’ to a page when an image is not used on a page. Unused images should be ‘unattached’ or ‘attached not shown’ or something. Otherwise the media list is somewhat useless/misleading and difficult to use.

    Everything else in WP is first class. I wish they would bring the Media feature up to the same standard.

    WP calculates site as 436 MB…. jump up from prior backups of 375 KB including Database and Files

    that is interesting…

    only keeping 5 backups

    last good one was 2 oct for 375 KB size

    today tried 3 backups all failed… each shows 114 megs …much larger and have not added many new images since 2 oct

    went to backups page, clicked RunNow and got this message

    BackUpWordPress failed to perform the backup. You have likely hit a memory limit.

    db is only 436 megs…so limit seemed low

    anyway, I do not need to keep all the unused images in the db

    I am new and have no idea. I am interested in a theme with no footer though. Could you please tell me the name and where to get it. Thanks.
