Hi,
follow these steps
1. uninstall all plugins
2. clear cookies and cache of your browser (use firefox or crome)
3. now try to install jetpack
4. if lucky to get through then connect to wordpress.com
I reached till here after support from my hosting provider.
now waiting to get the publicize feature working.

this is ok. but problem is still not being diagnosed by WP support to give us solution. for initial I will suggest you to
1. uninstall all plugins
2. clear all cookies and cache on browser
3. now try installing jetpack plugin only.
4. if gets installed then connect to WP.com
(I reached this stage only)
5. If it permits then connect to FB, G+ using publicize.Hope atleast you got through. If not then wait till we hear from WP-support.

Jetpack / wordpress support is blaming hosting provider but thats of no help.
I tried uninstalling jetpack but now its now even getting installed. actually my problem starts when i got WP 3.9.2 installed. Now when i am trying to re install it from update it is constantly giving fail execution.
which version of wp you are using ?

It looks like XML-RPC is not responding correctly. Please make sure XML-RPC is turned on for your site and is set up to respond to all content types. You can test this yourself by running the following command from the command line:
curl -d ‘<methodCall><methodName>demo.sayHello</methodName></methodCall>’ http://turnonnet.com/xmlrpc.php
The answer should be:

welcome to long queue of others who also facing this problem. I too have a log on this but alas ! no solution. Its a turn game from jetpack to hosting company and vice versa.

have you reached any solution as I disconnected my self hosted account with wordpress.com and now its not even allowing me to connect I mean the plugin jetpack is not answering.

It seems a problem with wordpres. is for first time you connecting with FB ? or have you changed the connection and retrying ? what about connecting with any other social network G + , twitter ?

if you see there are two tabs -> active and inactive
so check in inactive and check the box stating publicize. then it will be active come on dashboard and so to setting and click sharing.
there you are on the jetpack publicize page.
