Following up, looking again at my themes via the admin panel gave me a message that my theme, twentyfourteen, had a stylesheet missing. Changing to a different theme made my content visible again.
You may wish to see if others having this problem are using twentyfourteen. Hopefully that theme will be fixed – it looked great!
ETA: Re-downloading twenty fourteen and switching to it worked like a charm. Very mysterious.

I am having an identical issue. A blank white screen that the public would see, although I can use my browser history to navigate to a usable admin page. I’ve disabled all plugins and tried re-installing WP4.2. No dice.
This is definitely Not Good.
