I was still getting the “Your store does not appear to be using a secure connection. We highly recommend serving your entire website over an HTTPS connection to help keep customer data secure. Learn more here.” after moving to SSL but I clicked the dismiss button and it hasn’t appeared again. I’m sure it was just showing it from before I updated the site to https
I signed up to this forum just to thank you, oconnorstp. This was driving me crazy. Not only was this my first WordPress site but my first installing on a Mac server.
