  • Not sure if this matters, but when I click “View version 2.0.1 details,” I see a version 2.10 at the top of the list. However, WordPress updates it to 2.0.1 and the download from WordPress reports it the same.

Yes. I created a new form from scratch to test.

I added the following code at the start of the form.

    [submission_id submission_id-155 “1298”]

Now, it shows 1298 on the form on the website, no matter how many times I submit. It does not increment.

Plus, now on submission, it reports the number 1 with no incremental changes.

I deleted and reinstalled the plugin (I can see it was updated a few hours ago). I changed the field trying both submission_id and submission_id-po. I have rolled back CF7. Unfortunately, none of those options work for me, and I am still stuck on the same number. Did I miss a step? Thanks.

From what I can see, I think the incrementation ceased functioning after the last update of this plugin. I have rolled back my CF7 installation to 7.5.17, and there is no change in the auto-incrementation.

Due to the pandemic, requests virtually stopped on the form I use this for, but the last time the auto-incrementation worked was on 6/3/2020. The next time the form was used (6/24/2020), it used the number from 6/3 and has continued using the same number.

Unfortunately, WP Rollback doesn’t work with this plugin, and I can’t find the previous version to test my hypothesis. So, I restored a backup of my plugins (which included version 1.4 of this plugin, updated all my plugins (aside from UniqueID), and now auto-increment functionality is working again.
