In reply to: Autosave not workingI finally got around to trying these suggestions, but none worked.
To clarify: Autosave is actually working, but the status bar at the bottom of the edit screen gets stuck on “Saving draft . . . ” Also, when I start a new post, the permalink box doesn’t appear automatically after a few seconds until I click Save Draft. I guess it’s an Ajax display issue. If I leave the page without clicking Save, the post is nevertheless saved, so Autosave works, but I don’t get any feedback about it.
It’s a curious but minor problem that I can live with but would like to get fixed.

In reply to: 3.0 Stuck in Maintenance Mode after failed plugin upgradeThis happened to me twice. The first time WP eventually came out of maintenance mode, the second time it didn’t. This solution helped — thanks. But it’s definitely a problem.
The WP upgrade to 3.01 seems to have fixed the problem for me.
Same issue here.

In reply to: [DMSGuestbook] [Plugin: DMSGuestbook] "Success" text not showing upAh, that’s funny. When I reactivated my theme after trying out the default theme, GB suddenly works fine. Strange, but it looks as though my problem’s solved!

In reply to: [DMSGuestbook] [Plugin: DMSGuestbook] "Success" text not showing upHi Dani,
Thanks for your quick response. It looks like something’s up with the theme I’m using. When I activate the default theme, I get the all the messaging displayed correctly. When I use my theme, the messaging doesn’t even appear in the HTML. Strangely, when I “sandboxed” my theme using XAMPP on my computer, it works fine. Something’s not right with the install, I think.

In reply to: CSS file not being accessedChanging the URL to the temporary server in the options menu did the trick. When I’m ready to point the nameservers to the new host, I’ll switch ’em to the actual domain name.
Thanks all!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: CSS file not being accessedAh, perhaps in something called “options” in the admin screen!
