There is a possibility of this being a bad bot or human using the facebook UA.
The UserAgent: facebookexternalhit/1.1 (+http://www.facebook.com/externalhit_uatext.php)
it came from multiple IPs including one in Singapore.
I suspect there’s more going on here than a mis-configured or broken crawler.

i do have WordPress Premium. It has blocked over 6k fake registrations in 30 days. However, I was still getting one or two a day.
I’m pretty sure blocking xmlrpc will clean those up (fingers crossed)

TYVM for reminding me about about xmlrpc. I had made a new .htaccess and did not move that over. I added,
# Block WordPress xmlrpc.php requests
<Files xmlrpc.php> order deny,allow deny from all
</Files>I’m sure that will clean up the problem.

Just a quick update,
I updated to upgraded to 1.9.7.2.. Same problem. Twenty seconds to load SCI saw the other post here:

OK, sounds good. To be clear, we get no errors, or crashes, just slower loading on SC and on the ‘save’ after setting the qty. Roll back solved it. I realize it is a tough job for you guys to be compatible with every configuration and all plugins. In our case, it may or may not be your plugin but one of the other plugins we have installed since the tests on your side are good. I’ll continue to investigate on our side. thanks again Sal.
