I tried it again and it works. Not sure what was wrong before because I pasted the exact same code. The only difference was I pasted it a little higher up on the child theme’s stylesheet.

Maybe it was something with the server caching like you said.

Maybe it’s possible to do with a plugin.
Does anyone know of a plugin that would let me know how to do this?

Most of the one’s I find only add the posts in the widget area, but I already have recent posts there.
