  • Omg thanks I’ve been having that problem foreverr and I got it work! My only question is, what can I customize my permalinks to to make sure the comments still work, but my pages have a nice name?

Any way to sort out the permalinks? I think I’m having this problem too. If anyone tries to comment, I just get a 404 error page. How do I know what to fix? Thanks!

thanks for replying! Sorry I’m kind of new to this…what do you mean enter the reference? Is that part of the code for a certain theme, and if so, what part? That’s the step I’m confused on, I don’t exactly know what code to use to get this job done. Thanks!!

Was this topic ever resolved? I’m trying to do the same thing and can’t figure out an answer!

I know this might be a page template issue, and I made like a page.php file. But then what? What of the theme that I want to I paste in that file, if that indeed is what I am supposed to do? Thanks!!

I’m trying to do this, but I also want to import my existing theme of the .com blog into my .org site. Currently, if you click ‘blog’ on vikiarias.com you are redirected to an external page, my .com blog.

I want the site to be integrated so when you click ‘blog’ on vikiarias.com you see a totally new template, but it isn’t redirected to an outside site.

I know this could be a case of page template, but can’t figure out how to copy over my exact template and content. Thanks!

ok I tried changing the blog url to say vikiarias.com, but my site is still only acessable on vikiarias.com/wordpress. vikiarias.com just comes up blank. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

My wordpress is installed in my root directory. My site used to work just fine at mydomain.com. I changed the permalinks around and now I can only access the site at mydomain.com/wordpress.

Since it messed up after I changed the permalinks, I’m thinking it has something to do with that, or the blog url that you can change in settings.

I know that a lot of times when you change the wordpress address or blog address in general settings it messes the whole site up. However, right now they both say mydomain.com/wordpress. If I change the blog url, will the site go back to working at mydomain.com?

Thanks, don’t want to change it without being sure! 🙂
