However, when I try updating the theme, I’m receiving a fatal error. I’ve attached a screenshot of the error for your reference. Could you kindly check it and let me know how to resolve the issue?” Warning: require(/var/www/html/musician/wp-content/themes/storefront/inc/custom-header.php): Failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/html/musician/wp-content/themes/musicians/functions.php on line 282

(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /var/www/html/musician/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6121“.We’ve created and thoroughly tested the staging site, and after reviewing everything, the only issue we’ve encountered seems to be related to the theme.
I’ve thoroughly tested everything mentioned by theme support:
- Switched to default themes temporarily and re-applied Storefront.
- Tested the site across multiple PHP versions – including 7.4, 8.1, 8.2, and even 8.3.
- Confirmed that there are no available updates for the Storefront parent theme.
- Double-checked the child theme for outdated template overrides or deprecated code.
Despite all that, the issue persists – as soon as the Storefront theme is updated, the site throws a critical error, even on clean PHP versions. It clearly seems like the theme is behaving unexpectedly or possibly has a deeper compatibility issue not resolved in the latest release.
