Any updates on this? I can’t imagine it being a huge modification. It would certainly improve the plugin.
I have the exact same issue with JSON files. The JSON file contains data that changes so not having Last Modified and ETag is a problem. Also, I wonder why a query string is not generated for the JSON file as is correctly done for .png images.
The problem is worse when using a caching plugin such as W3 Total Cache. Are there any plans for allowing a query string? Perhaps, just add the last modification time in addition to ‘sccss=1’.
