Yep same here, makes the app pretty much useless! Concur with the Jetpack install, but I find I can edit existing articles in the app, just not create new ones!
My work-around for this has been to create a load of dummy, unpublished posts via the web interface, and just mod these using the app.

but when I paste the shortcode using this image [vrview img=”http://www.veletron.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/PANO_20170808_205131_9.jpg”] the page just reports Error: Render unable to load texture…
Guess I have to give up!
