Thanks, Yosemite. I created the uploads/ directory myself, and there are no other subdirectories. Interestingly, when I went backwards and changed the permissions on the wp-content/ directory to 777, I was able to finally upload images, but they stayed in the wp-content directory, rather than being placed into the uploads/ folder. Any idea why? Also, when I send the images to the editor while writing the post, it only puts up the thumb.jpg, rather than the original, even when I specify Using Original in the options menu. It seems you have a handle on the various idiosynchrosies here…any ideas on 1) how to get the images to upload to the uploads/ directory, and 2) how to get the post to use the original image rather than just the thumbnail?

Thanks for your time…I can see you’ve been a great help.

I’ve read from other posts that setting the permissions for the ‘uploads’ directory to 777 will solve this problem. That doesn’t seem to have worked in this case. Anybody???

I tried the time-stamp edit scheme, as well…it worked for about an hour, and then the posts disappeared from the page altogether. The only way to bring them back was to restore the original time-stamp info.

Ostensibly, the Adhesive plugin should do the trick. It doesn’t always work, however, on WP 2…though there is still some controversy on why this is so. Give it a try…you might be one of the lucky ones…

Anyone out there? I’ve gone to Red Alt for some advice, but apparently Owen isn’t available…are there any other hacks I can use that will perform like Adhesive? Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot Adhesive? I’m using Adhesive 3.0 on WP 2.0.

Thanks…I am using GoLive as my FTP…it seems to be corrupting the code as it uploads to the server…I ended up using Fetch, then going in and basically rebuilding the blog from the ground up (no real sweat there…I only had two posts to worry about, and a handful of other information…seems to be working fine thus far.

    Thanks for the ideas.

“../../../../wordpress/wp-content/themes/default/” preceded “<?php echo get_option(‘siteurl’); ?>” on all the actions…I had to go in and delete that first part…only problem is, I’m not sure I got them all…and I still haven’t been able to figure out how they got there in the first place…

Yeah, well, I never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the shed…my question about the redirects still stands. The site is being hosted by olm.net…and, yes, there might have been a previous install that perhaps wasn’t wiped clean from the MySQL database…I ended up going into the code and manually changing the href info on the comment form, and it seems to be working okay…but I’m afraid I might have missed something, somewhere, that’s going to bite me in the … tail…

By the way, thanks for your time…nice to know I can at least get someone to ask a few intelligent questions. ‘Preciate it.

Where would I check for these redirects?

I have “http://www.hansten.com/RROHC/Weblog”, in both fields…I’m assuming since you ask that this is incorrect???
