I guess my developer removed this field when we launched 2 months ago. We did not need the phone number field that time. Since I now need this field I have added it to the check out. I am using the WooCommerce Checkout Field Editor and made the field mandatory. Could this cause any problems?

I have Woocommerce version 4.2.2 installed.Billing phone number is placed under the order details of every order.
I have added the phone number as a mandatory field on the check out form.
I also see the billing phone numbers on the invoice which is being sent to myself for every order.But it still does not sync it with AC.. Very confusing.
Anything else I could try?
