In reply to: Plugin suggestion for memorial pageHi @viktorfroberg ,
thanks a lot for your reply, I appreciate it. Nice work on the site, it looks great!
I will look into how comments on wordpress works, as I don’t know how to code. For now, I managed to make a decent looking page by using a combination of plugins, like Elementor for the looks, and custom search plugins for searching etc. I also made a separate post for every person, with a comment field using WPDiscuz, by pasting the shorcode in the section where I want the comment field to be located at. I used Elementor to make section of tabs, and a plugin for building tables with information. It still doesn’t look like I want it to look, but I’m getting there. Thanks again for the suggestions!

In reply to: Plugin suggestion for memorial pageWhew, that was the worst answer anyone could have given me. I asked for tips, as I have already searched for all sorts of keywords that have to do with a memorial page. Sending a link to search through 58,000 plugins is not helpful at all. It does look like I have to create something on my own.
No worries, thank you.
I believe that’s more likely than this plugin being the main reason. However, I still don’t understand how and why the plugin changes the theme back all the time. There might be some code somewhere that forces the website to use the old private theme, I don’t know.
Thanks for your help though, should I mark the post as solved? It’s not solved but I don’t think it’s the plugins fault anymore.
Hi!
Sorry about the late reply, I simply forgot.
The issue is still not solved, however, I’ve noticed that it’s only the private theme that changes constantly, and with that said, it does not affect the public website at all. I’ve tried setting the time limit to both 0 and 99999999…, but that did not help. As I’ve previously mentioned, I’ve also tried cleaning the browser cache and cookies, and also changing browsers/computers.
The issue is not solved, but does not affect the website, it’s just a bit annoying to change back all the time. Sorry for not being able to provide more info of what is causing this, but I still don’t know how to fix it.
William
Thanks for your reply!
Hmm, interesting. I’m guessing that would be fairly easy to solve, the problem is that I can’t find any tutorials on how to do so. I’m pretty new to WordPress so I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I’ll keep searching!William
