another thing, you said it sometimes required you to use a run a function to get it to run, I put the shortcode:
[currency_symbol currency=”JPY”]
into a page and it crashed the rest of the page 🙁

my apologies I probably wasn’t specific enough before – running WPML and chosen the Multiple Currencies option. Base currency is £, added Euro (at £1 = 1 Euro)
