If you have multiple domains in your Cloudflare account, go to CF’s Rules | Cache Rules, and check the “Hostname” under “When incoming requests match…”. In my case, the Value was set to the wrong domain.
Sorry. False report. It was the latest Responsive Gallery Grid plugin that broke Simple Calendar.

The workaround seems to be to make it a one-day event (July 27, 2024 to July 27, 2024) that repeats until Aug 5, 2024.
The problem occurs with the free version as well. Clicking on the navigation arrows to go to the previous or next month will popup an endless spinner animation.
