    Hi Ahmed,

No, that’s still the same behavior. The ‘Reset Variation Gallery’ option delays the image change until all attributes are selected and that’s fine.

The issue I’m talking about is the image ‘re-loading’ even if the variation doesn’t have any image. Using your screencast as an example, once you’ve selected the color and size of the watch, try changing the size attribute (which presumably doesn’t have any variation image). It’ll try to re-load the main product image when it should remain the same.

Additionally, this is not only a problem on products with multiple attributes. The same is happening for products that have only one attribute without any variation images. You can test it by removing the color attribute from the watch and just keeping the size. When you select the size on the front-end, the product image will show the pre-loading animation which doesn’t make sense because the attribute doesn’t have any variation images and the main product image remains unchanged.

This is the same problem that @nirmalnishant is describing in his thread.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the response, Ahmed.

Unfortunately, no, disabling the ‘Reset Variation Gallery’ option does not resolve the issue. I have tried it before and this only helps with products that have multiple variation attributes (e.g. color and size). In this case it defers the image swap until the user selects all the attributes.

However, it doesn’t fix the problem for products that don’t use any variation images at all – the preload overlay still display for those, making it look as if the product image is being swapped when it’s not the case.
