@abdullahramzan Yeah, you were right.
- disabling both modsecurity and iThemes Security
- removing Google site kit
- re-installing Google site kit
- re-enabling modsecurity and iThemes Security
It now works correctly!

PS: the compatibility issue is just with iThemes Security and probably some aggressive settings of it
