@ipstenu The reason why I mentioned Bootstrap at all is because Beaver Theme uses Bootstrap framework as it’s CSS base.. I thought that would help you give me directions to get the correct CSS code.
I have no idea what it is, I just mentioned it because I thought it’s the “language” of CSS it’s using.

I know, that’s why I closed the thread. I might get back once my site is online

    Got you, sad.
Well I’m getting nowhere until I get my website online.

@ipstenu The thing is that in the code I pasted the code read Top Menu, and my menu is Header Menu, that’s why I asked you to give me the standard code.
The code wouldn’t work if I was applying it to the Top Menu which is non-existent in my case. Do you understand what I was referring previously and why? I hope I cleared it up a bit with what I wrote now 🙂

Yes that’s the one I’m using. In this case, is Bootstrap the framework/language which it’s using of CSS? Because if so, it might be easier for me or others to help me find the correct code

@ipstenu I thought there is a standard CSS code which you usually use, in this case you don’t know it or? I am not speaking related to Beaver Builder, but rather the code which you would usually write to do this type of thing.

I have checked their documentation, I doubt they have a specific section explaining the standard CSS codes/snippets.

    @ipstenu I see, I haven’t changed anything else I believe.

Are you able to provide me with the standard CSS code which refers to the menu items (individual menu items), because I belive Beaver Builder team is using all the standard stuff.. it’s just that I am inexperienced in coding and I don’t know how to write a code which affects my menu (checked as Header Menu in menu settings), it is possible that the code is standard and that I am not using the right one. As mentioned the code I was pasting was referring to Top Menu, and my menu is a Header Menu, this might be the cause

    (@vojaa)

@ipstenu That does make sense, it is highly possible that I don’t know the exact code to name and refer to the menu.. I don’t know how to find this out (other than to ask when I get my site online)…..

BTW I would strongly recommend you use the CSS editor in the customizer instead of pasting into the stylesheet, as any theme upgrades will overwrite your work. This is by design, and why we have the customizer 🙂

But isn’t a Child theme made so that any theme upgrades don’t affect it? I am pasting CSS code in the Stylesheet of the Child theme. Isn’t it safe just because it’s withing the Child theme itself? From my research and from what I understand, Child theme’s purpose is so you can add code and other stuff and have it safe from upgrades of parent theme, so far I never saw somebody mention that Stylesheet code from child theme would be overwritten.

Either way, I don’t know how to go about solving this issue and finding the correct CSS name to refer to the menu

@tobifjellner I see, I don’t know about the theme itself, but so far what I have seen is that a CSS code is pasted into the Stylesheet, and this is something which I heard being mentioned several times. Shouldn’t the CSS code itself be universal and able to be used everywhere?
I don’t think Beaver Theme has any significant features, it just makes sure it’s the most compatible with Beaver Builder, so I don’t know whether this is a problem. I haven’t had any luck with the community over there.. in fact I haven’t got replies mostly, and here there actually are people like yourself who help. I am getting really frustrated because it looks so easy in the tutorial like this one: https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/divi-resources/beautiful-css-hover-effects-you-can-add-to-your-divi-menus
But then I’m unable to get the desired result. I thought that the code for the menu itself would be universal and appliable with all the Themes. Since I am in no luck with the support over at Beaver Theme team, how can I make it possible for you to help me?

@mmediagroup I am using ww.wp.xz.cn to build my website, wordpress.com is too limiting IMO, I found this to be the correct choice, although I am obviously going through some trouble.

I am not sure we are on the same page.
I use ww.wp.xz.cn to build my website, what do you mean it’s unrelated to my site? Everything about my website has been done through ww.wp.xz.cn, you are confusing me with this statement.
So far many of the guides which I found to add a nice transition to the menu have been purely based on ww.wp.xz.cn, take a look:
    https://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/divi-resources/beautiful-css-hover-effects-you-can-add-to-your-divi-menus

In the video above the same thing which I was talking and doing was being mentioned: Stylesheet

I think you misunderstood me. A transition makes the overall user experience better, it gives life to the website. I think that you understood that I am trying to add a transition to the whole menu.. which isn’t what I’m trying to do, if you went into the gif which I attached, that’s the effect I’m going for. I simply don’t get how it would make the site feel slower.. if anything it makes the website feel more premium, instead of the clunky, sharp and lifeless design (which is instant, but it compromises on the overall experience and isn’t as pleasant).

Where am I wrong, and what don’t I understand? Because I am completely confused by your answer

Hmm.. The thing is that I haven’t pasted anything into any files, in fact I haven’t visited the files for anything so far.
Everything that I have done has been through ww.wp.xz.cn and it’s dashboard. I haven’t gone outside of it to do anything.

Do youthink you can lead me onto the correct path in achieving this effect?

I am trying to achieve this type of transition and fade effect:

    Very smooth and fluid

CSS huh? That’s not the best news since I am very short on time, and while I know Beaver Builder has the possibility to use CSS, it all sounds very abstract to me. And it’s kind of hard to go around, because I am very big about the appearance of my website.. But I find CSS to be an “obstacle”. I’ll break my thread up into single posts and see if I can get help, I appreciate your advice!
The main thing is that I do not know how I’d implement the CSS code onto my website, while I am using these plugins.
