Yes, this change is expected. Starting from version 1.1.3, the Security Hardening module was intentionally removed.
The goal of this update was to keep the plugin lightweight, stable, and focused on its primary purpose: SSL activation, HTTPS redirects, mixed content fixing, and HTTP security headers.
Some hardening features can overlap with server configurations, hosting environments, or dedicated security plugins. Removing them helps avoid potential conflicts and keeps the plugin simpler and safer to maintain.
All core features of the plugin remain unchanged, including:
- SSL activation
- HTTPS redirects
- Mixed content fixer
- Security headers configuration
- Site Health checks
