The problem is not the events, but the event category page.
But still… I can´t find the option to disable comments in the Events Manager settings.

I have the same problem, even though I´m using WP 3.4.1 and version 1.1 of the plugin.
Nothing happens when I click “Upload Image”; nothing happens. I just get a # at the end of the URL in the address field of Safari.

What did you do to solve the problem @profusion?
