In reply to: Permanent delete prompt gone, now can’t delete mediaWell tom… you answered the question of where that issue comes from… Not from a plugin or browser but from the WP core itself… and you resolved the issue for us all before I could find it in the code. Kudo’s, and thank you.
I updated the core and it reversed the check box issue so mine is fixed as well. Still don’t know where it is located within the WP software but at least I know what NOT to do again.

In reply to: Permanent delete prompt gone, now can’t delete mediaI have not found the solution yet but am still looking. Since you are fighting the same thing I am, let me ask you a few questions so I know what I can eliminate in my testing…
What operating system are you using (Win/Mac/Linux), is your website locally hosted on your own server or is it hosted through a hosting provider? Have you installed any security type plugins that might effect this? What browser do you use to access your website and have you tried others to see if the lack of delete prompt is due to a specific browser?
I am self hosted so I have a lot of control over what goes on in my web environment so I can dig into my website files and get pretty deep. There is just a lot of possibilities at this point. Your basic information will be helpful to me.
