I got it all figured out. The translation output name should be pfund–zh_TW.po instead of pfund.zh_TW.po. After replacing ‘.’ with ‘-‘, the localisation works now. Thanks
I apologized for the wording. Pfund do function perfectly well in en_US mode. It’s the localized .zh_TW files did not perform their translation jobs. Is there anything I may look into? Please advise.
Thank you.
Hello, John:
I placed both files in directories as suggested. But it won’t work. Please review the following steps I’ve made:1. Translate text between quotation mark for .js
e.g. from “HELLO” to “哈囉” as in zh_TW ( or “Bonjour” as in fr_FR )2. Translate .pot thru poedit and out with pfund.zh_TW.po and pfund.zh_TW.mo.
3. .js went to wp-content/plugins/personal-fundraiser/js
.pot, .mo. and .po went to wp-content/plugins/personal-fundraiser/translationsThanks
Stephen
Hello,
I translated pfund.pot into pfund.zh_TW.pot as codex.ww.wp.xz.cn instructed. The file then went to/wp-content/languages along with zh_TW.po and zh_TW.mo.define (‘WPLANG’, ‘zh_TW’) was added to wp-config.php as well.
Based on jquery.validationEngine-en_US.js, I’ve done translation with jquery.validationEngine-zh_TW.js but don’t know which directory should it go to ?
Is there anything missing during the localisation for Traditional Chinese?
Many thanks
Stephen
Currently I’m on Joomla platform, I’ll get familiar with WordPress 3.3 first and then work on the files you specify. If any questions along the way, I’ll let you know.
Thanks for the advise.
