i have not been able to get this to work. it seems coupons are applied but when an order is placed neither the coupon code or the product related to the coupon shows up on the order the client receives.

i would love to find a fix for this.

ok i still don’t have this working … here’s is what i have done.

i created a new product for the gift we want to give away via a coupon code.

i then followed Jeff Pye Brook’s link to set up a coupon (for some reason the link is no longer working)

so i set up the coupon to be 100% discount with the item name equal to “3-Pack Random Assortment of Sunrise Affirmation Magnets” (which is the name of the new product i created as the giveaway).

i have it set up to not be applied to all products in the cart.

so when an order is placed neither the coupon code or the product related to the coupon shows up on the order the client receives. Any ideas … i really need to make this work!

i have a question….yes another one…what if the gift being given isn’t a regular stock item? does entering the name of the product in the last step connect it with the product or is the name just a reference?

i was thinking of making the discount 0% so that it doesn’t effect the cart? and then when the client sees the discount code he will know to include the giveaway item.

will that work?

i thought that was what i was doing….i don’t see an “insert gallery” option, i choose insert image and then selected all the images i wanted in the gallery….then choose number of columns etc….it does create a gallery but it uses all the full size images as thumbnails so they all overlap each other. I thought it was supposed to automatically generate thumbnail size images but it doesn’t….

i could do a couple of screenshots and link them if that would help….
