…also I forgot to say that if possible it would be great to be able to make “click” on ANY user without the need to have at least one post as for example my users cant make posts…so just redirect all users avatars/names clicks to their profiles (in my case UM profiles)…again many thanks mates!!!

well, this is a bit embarrassing…maybe I didnt explain myself well…I have already added the field “display_name” to my user profile but as I said its just a text box, so it just shows the actual kind of name, it does not give you the option to change anything…
please could you explain it a bit better…thanks!!
any feedback about this mates??…btw, I have installed the bbpress plugin and in the users profile, under “edit” tab there is a dropdown menu where you can change the name to show publicly…thats EXACTLY what I would like to achieve in the UM profile menu for users…also, changing that option in the bbpress profile actually changes the option in wp profile (backend) so bbpress option has the ability to change the name to show in EVERY place in the web(which is what I want)…UM cant do that right now…

The problem is not in the backend but in the front end as users dont have acces to backend…anyway, could you explain to me how to make a dropdown menu with all available names on it for the users profile please??…because if I choose the field “name to show” in the profile form I cant change anything as its just a text field…I just want a dropdown menu in which users can choose what name to display…many many thanks!!
