Update. I went in to my Cloudflare Turnstile plugin settings and checked to “Delete all of this plugins saved options when the plugin is deleted via plugins page.” Then I deleted the entire plugin and reinstalled it. I entered my secret and site keys and set it up as normal and it worked. You may want to give this a try. Good luck

I installed the plugin this weekend for the first time and am having the exact same issue as Matthew has described and shown with the original post. I have spent all morning trying to see if this was due to a server permission error or a Firewall blocking me. So far…nothing that I have found is abnormal.

The only way that I have found around it is if I manually add the shortcode to the gallery in the text mode as shown here: [nggallery id=2]

Adding the gallery via the visual mode strips the shortcode out to this [].

Hope this helps in determining the root cause of the issue.
