For the WooCommerce Product Categories widget, it only works now for the ‘Only show children of the current category’ IF you choose to have it in a drop-down rather than a list. This is for WooCommerce update 2.2.8. Please fix.
Yes, same thing happened to me too (PHP parse error with the custom sidebar files) – except on several sites. Yikes. I had to pull backups for all of those after I got upsetting calls from my clients. I am leery about trying to install the latest version. For now, I just won’t update that plugin since it is working.
We have also run into the problem of the Enhanced text widgets disappearing every time a change happens to our database (i.e. WP updates). Deactivating the plug-in and reactivating it does not work in this instance (we have tested this scenario over and over again).
