Still hoping to find an answer, I would like to bring my post up again.
Which files can be easily deleted and than replaced by the one’s in the WP 2.2 package?
I consider, that running the upgrade.php and changing anything in the DB is not necessary. Thus, deleting and replacing (w/o overwriting) is enough.
