In reply to: [Hueman] How can I de-register the creation of theme thumbnails?Correction: How can I avoid that the HUEMAN thumbnail sizes are not created at all?
should probably read:
How can I achieve that the HUEMAN thumbnail sizes are not created at all?
or

In reply to: [CosmosWP] Theme ‘Customizer’ won’t startI can’t get this solved, but what I can (hopefully) say by now: it’s not an issue with your theme! It happens with other themes too.
Right now I had a crash “Error: This theme failed to load properly and was paused within the admin back end.” There are reports on the internet about these issues, one solution should be: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/306673/you-need-a-higher-level-of-permission-after-admin-changing-why
I will close this ticket since I’m fairly sure it isn’t related to your theme as such.

In reply to: [Hueman] Did you recently add a plugin with theme update? Thanks for clarifying – though I’m still baffled.
I have closed this.

In reply to: [Easy Table of Contents] How to dispense of the Font Icomoon being loaded?I have to apologise: it was not your plugin, which loads the full font. It has been another plugin I have to blame for this (which I removed). All good!
This is getting worse!!
My Sharing buttons don’t work anymore. Reply from support at CreoWorx (Sharing button plugin):Hello,
The issue appears because of the percent mark at the end of the title http://prntscr.com/nmwwp9. That percent appears before a special symbol and breaks the share command.
When you have time to check, please edit the post title to remove that % extra mark appearing and everything will be OK.

Sorry, Rocco!
I got the wrong impression (paid per ticket) from the one sentence “Please feel free to open a new ticket for any issues you encountered.” I apologise! And you were right: it is being caused by lazy image loading!
Don’t ask me why. I will open a ticket with WP Rocket for this.Again, sorry for having been so impatient, but we never find time to write content. Yesterday and today were 2 free days to write a new post (so I thought) – instead I have been only battling problems (like this). Not a single line of content written! :p
I don’t understand how you can say you cannot “reproduce the issue”!
I’ve cleared the cache (WP Rocket) on the server and in my browsers. The problem persists!
I then run a few speed tests on https://tools.pingdom.com/, which automatically creates a preview thumbnail (so there shouldn’t be any browser cache involved, I tested the blog post for the first time) – these screen previews from pingdom show clearly the gap of white space (beige in my case = background color). So how can you say that you cannot “reproduce the issue on my test environment.” Are you being paid per ticket you close? Please see screen captures (pingdom and mobile) from today – after your reply and after clearing caches (Especially the point 3.):

I now changed to ‘Easy Table of Contents’, a fork of this one and therefore very compatible. The problem is gone!

In reply to: [Hueman] Since last update: some Font Awesome icons not showing. The strange thing is that the icons only don’t show on mobile (this is an ongoing issue, but currently I have not much opportunity to be online and deal with website issues) – all fontawesome icons display okay on desktop (over 8 months down the track = nothing has changed).
So I doubt that this is a naming issue. I seem to recall that I tried to deal with that in the past too (too long ago)…

In reply to: [Hueman] Mobile menu closing after clickSame problem on my mobile site of dare2go.com The menu flashes briefly onto the screen and then is gone again. It doesn’t matter if you keep your finger on the “hamburger” icon or not.
Before the latest theme update my mobile menu, including sub-menus, was working just fine![ps: I have reverted my site to version 3.4.5, so it’s working – but NOT with the latest theme version…]

In reply to: [Hueman] Since last update: some Font Awesome icons not showing.Okay, thanks @d4z_c0nf – at least I have solved the RSS feed icon.
The other part is still baffling me! I don’t know which version of Font Awesome my site is using. The external link is still not working. I replaced the css code with new code – and then the same disappeared on my desktop site too; it’s still not available on mobile. So now I reversed to the old code.
Sorry, but your reply doesn’t tell me anything. All I can say is, that of course I cleared the cache and tested again before I even looked into it – long before I contacted support! So the cache isn’t the issue. I’m aware it’s a css problem – and at a loss where it originated from.

In reply to: [Hueman] scaling featured imagesThen maybe the 210Kib is the sum of all thumbnails.
Anyhow: for Apple Retina displays you’re supposed to serve images twice the resolution – so it can’t be that bad.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Hueman] scaling featured imagesIf your preview thumb is so big you must be uploading uncompressed images (I gather this from the reported saving in size: 210.2KiB).
My thumbnails in 520×245 are usually something between 20 & 30Kib = around 10% of the size GT-Matrix reports as a saving for yours… Even my 720×340 thumbnails are never over 70Kib!Optimise your images first – they will have a much larger speed impact!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Error message “The e-mail address entered is invalid.”@takayukister – sorry, as I wrote in my initial post, I have disabled Contact Form 7 and enabled PirateForms. I really need a functioning contact form (ugly as the one from Themeisle is – I like yours much better!).
Therefore you will not find Contact Form 7 active on my website!- This reply was modified 8 years, 8 months ago by webbeetle. Reason: corrected the @ addressing
