Hi Bailey,
In your previous ticket here, one of our developers making a change so that the Stripe.js loads in the header of your site. Specifically:
One step that might resolve the error is going to Dashboard > Donations > Settings > Advanced and change the Script Loading Location to Footer. This may allow the form to be added to the page first before Stripe attempts to add the card fields.
Looking at your site I can still see that the stripe.js is in the footer, so it seems that recommendation was not yet made. Please do that and let us know if it resolves the issue.
Hi there,
We’re looking into an add-on. Our Zapier add-on can help in the meantime.

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Big Waste of Money!!!Thank you for those ticket numbers. As I mentioned in the beginning, there must be a problem in one way or another because we respond quickly to every inquiry. The problem in this case is that I found your replies in our SPAM box. You can see here (I’ve blurred out your name for privacy of course):

I fully understand that you did not get responses to your inquires as you were entitled to. I do take responsibility for that because I expect our SPAM filters to be better than this.
I understand that you’ve moved on (that is understandable considering the lack of responses you received), however, if you are interested in having the best success with GiveWP going forward at all, I’m more than happy to pick up the conversation again. I will get all those emails out of spam, whitelist all the email addresses from you and your team, I’ll respond to your latest email in detail and we can go from there if you’d like.
Sincerely and with gratitude,
Matt Cromwell

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Big Waste of Money!!!Hi @pmcreations — I think there’s a miscommunication or problem somewhere. Our team responds to every inquiry. Of course, keep in mind that we just had a major US holiday so our response times might be a little longer than normal, but we’re all here working full-time to resolve all issues for all 70,000+ of our users.
I’m one of the partners and co-author’s of GiveWP. Let me know what your ticket number is and I’ll look into it immediately to get you up and running as quickly as possible.
I stand behind my team, the members that you named publicly are top-notch. I believe in them and if you have patience to see the process through we’ll get you up and running in no time.
Hi @vermaakpetrus — I’m one of the authors of the GiveWP plugin. I see this ticket from you here:
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/site-crash-after-uninstall/Was that the issue? Did that resolve both of these for you? Just let us know if there’s anything additionally that we can help with if necessary.
Hi there,
This is most often caused by a lack of the proper webhook (a mechanism for sending data from Stripe to Give) set in your Stripe account. Our documentation on setting up the webhook is here:
https://givewp.com/documentation/core/payment-gateways/stripe-free/#webhooks
If the webhook is correctly configured, you should see a record in the logs at Donations > Tools > Logs > Stripe for every event at Stripe (going forward).
Double-check that webhook and let us know if you need anything else.
Thanks!

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Linking To StripeHi there,
Login to your site, and in your admin go to “Donations > Settings > Payment Gateways > Stripe” and you’ll see a “Connect to Stripe” button.
Here’s our docs if that needs additional help at all:
https://givewp.com/documentation/core/payment-gateways/stripe-free/You’ll also see an admin notice saying you need to connect to Stripe and it has the button there as well.
We work hard to make connecting to both Stripe and PayPal as intuitive as possible. But I’d love your feedback/input on why it might have been difficult for you to find.
Hi @luizbills
The best docs we have are the built-in gateways within our code. Many developers have built custom gateways for GiveWP by reading our code and using common development practices.
Currently, you can see exactly how we built our PayPal Standard and Stripe free gateways. Or even Offline Donations if that’s relevant for your test-case.
Additionally, here’s more resources that might be helpful for you:
- Chris Flannagan wrote an article about it
- We have a GiveWP Addon boilerplate that you might like
- A third party wrote a gateway addon for their bitcoin service
Between those resources you should be on your way to making it happen relatively quickly.
Thanks!
Unfortunately GiveWP doesn’t have the ability to do anonymous donations. Even from a custom development perspective it would be very challenging.
This snippet is useful for making fields NOT required though:
https://github.com/impress-org/givewp-snippet-library/blob/master/form-customizations/dont-require-fields.phpBut those are all related to the payment fields, not the first name or email address.

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Paypal One TouchWe don’t support One Touch currently but we’re looking into it. For now, the best way to use GiveWP with PayPal Standard is to keep One Touch disabled.
Hi there,
Does your local install have any settings that might prevent WordPress from creating custom database tables? GiveWP uses several custom tables that are necessary and it seems at least one of them wasn’t installed when you activated the plugin.
Can you tell me a bit about your local environment and how I might help replicate that problem? We don’t have any other reports of this at all, so it suggests something unique happening in your local environment.
Thanks!
