In reply to: [WooCommerce] ‘hook ran but no ID available’Thank you Lorro – yes. Deactivating Astra and activating 2019 theme took me to the basket instead of throwing the alert. The basket had numerous of the same product already added from my previous attempts.
I have since run a successful transaction through the sandbox account, so WooCommerce and Paypal are doing it all fine. Now I just need to find out what in Astra is causing that alert, and preventing the user going to the basket. Hmmm!
I will pick it up with Astra therefore.

In the end, we found the best way was to delete all posts in the offending post type and import them again.
Now all is OK.

My client has just pointed out that its no longer working on their site, since We upgraded it to 4.4.2 –The search page comes back blank every time, although if a word appears in the sidebar it is still highlighted in yellow. It simply shows zero results.
Any help or advice to fix it would be appreciated.

In reply to: [Enhanced Custom Permalinks] Causing duplicate post ID'sFurther to my previous post: What is actually happening, is that the Enhanced Custom Permalink plugin is giving the same permalink to a posts *child* posts, as well as to the post itself.
This is causing navigational difficulties around the site. We need to find a solution quickly.
Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

If I can find out what settings to give it for Genesis it will make all the difference.

Further to my previous post, we have persisted with ECP plugin and found it useful for shortening longer urls to bring the target keywords nearer to the ‘http://’ for SEO purposes.However… the issue of renaming child post urls with the same permalink as the parent is causing problems in another way.
Our WP set up has numerous different post types. Many of them are related and some of them are just conduits for many-to-many relationships between common parent post types. So for example, Case Studies use more than one product and products are used in many case studies. Therefore a conduit post type acts to create the relationship between the two. The conduit is not used for anything else and should never appear in searches. In fact this has been explicitly turned off in settings.
Even so, the conduit is appearing in search listings. It links through to one of its parents, but we don’t want it showing at all. It seems likely (unless you have another explanation) that it is the change to its permalink which is making it appear in searches.
So my question is, are we any closer to preventing child posts from having their permalinks renamed when a parent post’s is edited? and if not, is there a work around you can suggest? We have tried editing the child post’s (conduit’s) permalinks explicitly but this doesn’t work (it doesn’t change).

We can use the plugin the way you suggested, and we are specifying the image IDs accordingly, using code.
However, superzoomgallery is also including all images in the post’s media gallery.
Is there a way (simple or otherwise) we can prevent it from bringing those in too?Thanks

The difficulty we have is that we’re using [superzoomgallery] in a widget in a sidebar. So it appears on numerous pages therefore, and needs to show only those images which we want to show for each page… actually they’re a custom post type.We don’t want it to show the images we’ve already used in the content of the post, only those which we link that post to with child custom posts which each contain one of the images for the superzoomgallery.
Can you suggest a way for us to use the shortcode in a widget so it only brings in those images from the post’s child posts, and not all those others (which are logos etc.) included in the post itself?

Yes – it was the cache-buster which was causing it. So now it creates the edited thumbnail with the same file as the previous one.I’m interested in your further suggestion for the thumbnail-extras but don’t immediately have a use for it. May well do in the near future though!

Thanks for all you’re doing with this. I run WP slimstats on several of my clients’ sites and they all love it.
I have had some queries recently though, about why the past couple of days are missing on the graph – even though it does appear to be recording visits and stats. I tried turning off Javascript, as you suggested above, but to no avail. So I’ll listen out for your update with relish.

But I’m struggling with the CSS class too.
I’ve added two classes to my theme’s css file: – .transwidget and .no-bullets (full code below).
I have then added the following to the ‘Custom CSS classes (separated by spaces):’ text box: “no-bullets transwidget”
However the widget doesn’t pick up the CSS from the classes. It remains giving each listing the li attributes of the theme, and it also puts a dark background behind the text of each title, as if it were a widget title instead of a listing within the widget.
Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong.

I opted for Formidable too because I like the functionality it has for custom displays and to create new posts from form entries. I have Gravity Forms installed on one of my other sites, but only with a single site license because I went with Formidable ever afterwards.
I see it has been 10 months since you said you don’t anticipate expanding MTouch Quiz’s compatibility with another product, so I wonder if your thinking has changed at all given Formidable’s growth and success as an alternative to Gravity in that time?
