I hop on this thread because I am also facing an issue regarding the canonical urls…Many of my pages indicates the wrong canonical urls, like :
https://www.awesome.site.com/course/course-01
the canonical is :
https://www.amazing.site.com/aboutBut those pages are totally different.

According to your previous answer, I can enable the “Noindex” option, but it is counter-effective in term of indexing and SEO !
