I ended up removing W3TC and using HummingBird from WPMU Dev – the free version works fantastically and I don’t have the constant issues I did with W3TC.
I have disabled W3 Total Cache in order to connect my site again.

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] User Switching BrokenIf you are able to see why the User Switching component is being twigged by AIOWP, and if there is anything you can do about it or the author of User Switching (in conjunction with you being able to let them know why it’s failing) could do, that would be fantastic.
Otherwise, if anyone else runs into this conflict, then disabling Force Logout (which is a GREAT feature by the way) is the only route to go at this time.

Now 3.01 of Layouts & Styles won’t update. Gives me an error:
Could not create directory. ninja-forms-style/deprecated/includes/admin/pages
I removed the deprecated and all sub directories and tried again, still no luck.
The upgrade to 3 removed static text fields I had in my forms, the layouts got all screwed up.
What’s going on?

In reply to: URL just won't workIf you have access to cpanel. Check in the DNS settings, perhaps it’s not configured to point traffic to your site. The other thing would be to contact your hosting provider and asking them to check why your site isn’t showing up.
It’s odd that I cannot ping it. I just used a global DNS propagation tool (https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/brennanvisser.com) to have it ping from all over the world and it can’t find the domain either.
I think starting with your hosting provider would be the first step. Find out why it’s not letting everyone know the domain is valid.

In reply to: Cant create or edit posts after updating to 4.01It’s possible one of your plugins is in conflict with something new in 4.01. I would try deactivating all of the plugins and see if everything is working OK.
If it is, then re-activate each plugin one by one, checking each time to see if you’re post contents are visible along with the toolbar.
If you activate a plugin and it stops working, you’ll know that’s the plugin in conflict.
You can have your own domain name if you register for a domain and sign up for hosting.
Here in the USA, I some hosting providers that can help you get the domain and provide hosting are:

A2Hosting.comThese all have relatively inexpensive costs for domains and hosting. Some even give you free domain registration if you purchase hosting.
They also all offer one click installs of WordPress – makes it very easy to get a site up and running. Then you can install any theme/plugin you want.

In reply to: URL just won't workIt’s possible the DNS hasn’t propagated yet. I just tried to ping brennanvisser.com and was told it could not find the host.
I’ve done this myself, perhaps the domain was registered incorrectly? I transposed two letters in the domain I was trying to register. Perhaps it’s something like that?

In reply to: 404 Errors With Permalinks Set To %postname%@djmiller78 – Thank you!!!! This was driving me batty. I had brought my live set locally and I had it working 99%, except for this. I found that mod_rewrite.so was commented out. Uncommented and POOF it was working.
