    I just duplicated it on my WordPress.com as well. Maybe it’s a feature that’s not actually there that I think is? Here’s the scenario:

    I start posting at 12:49 (just now). I select “Edit” next to “Publish immediately” and it shows the time I started posting. I take however long to post and at 12:53 I’m ready to publish. I believe that if I publish it should say 12:49, but it says 12:53. Am I missing something? You can clearly see “Edit” change to “Cancel” when selected but I’m not canceling it, I’m opting for that start time.

    Did you change it before first publishing? I don’t mean after the fact. I’m trying to do this with current posts as I post them. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? I’ve been using WP for a while now and have never read documentation detailing the use of this feature.
