In reply to: WordPress 5 no option for parent under page attributesI have the same problem but here’s a solution that worked for me.
On the All Pages list find your child page and instead of editing the page choose Quick Edit. When you do this you will see a summary of options you can change and Parent was there for me.

Hi, I thought that functionality was part of the “NextGEN Gallery Media Library Addon” plugin but clearly not! Thanks.
OK so this is to do with the NextGEN Gallery Media Library Addon. If I deactivate that how can I use NGG images as featured images?

Ok it seems that I might have been a bit too quick off the mark and this was just a timing issue as it seems to be working fine now.
